The Board of the Harlem Jets consists of four directors:
Coach Jamel is a co-founder and the President of the Jets. He has worked for the Metropolitan Transit Authority for 24 years. Coach Jamel graduated from Mabel Dean Beacon High School in 1987, where he was a member of the basketball team and played sandlot football, and attended the Borough of Manhattan Community and City Colleges. He subsequently coached Amateur Athletic Union and semi-pro basketball and Harlem Little League baseball.
Robert B. Mazur
Coach Bob is Counsel and Educational Director of the Jets. He is of counsel to the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz law firm, having retired as a partner in 2008. From 1976 to 1979, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York. Coach Bob played football at White Plains High School, graduated from Yale College in 1970, and received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1973. He coached youth soccer and basketball for a total of 39 seasons. This is Coach Bob’s seventh year with the Jets.
Tyson A. Pratcher
Coach Tyson, a co-founder of the Jets, is Director of the Opportunistic Investment Portfolio at the New York State Common Retirement Fund. He graduated from Hampton University in 1997, and received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2000. After three years as an associate at the Davis Polk & Wardwell law firm, Coach Tyson served as a Senior Advisor to then-Senator Hillary Clinton. In 2010, he was inducted into the National Association of Securities Professionsals (NY) Hall of Fame.
Coach Kevin is a co-founder and the Vice President of the Jets. He works as an executive chauffeur. Coach Kevin graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in 1987. He played football at Clinton and became Commander of the ROTC program.
